February 4th is World Cancer Day, and one week from Valentine’s Day weekend! During our February Cook-In, Kiyomi will cook a delicious and heart-healthy, romantic dinner to honor this special Friday.
The first one is “Stuffed Tofu with No Sugar Teriyaki Sauce.” She will share tips to make Tofu crispy and flavorful. The Tofu served with ‘meatless meat stuffing’ and ‘no sugar added Teriyaki sauce’ is so tasty–and it is 100% plant-based, sugar-free, oil-free, and salt-free.
And 2 side dishes will complete the tropical island flair: “Coconut Cauliflower Rice” and “Pineapple Shish Kabob with Mango Mustard Sauce.” Of course, these are also 100% plant-based and SOS.-free (sugar-, salt-, oil-free).
We hope you will join us, because the whole meal makes a gorgeous romantic dinner, but also the techniques used in each dish are useful to prepare everyday meals.
There will be plenty of time for you to ask your questions about green tea. Or, if you wish, you could send your questions ahead so Kiyomi can answer your questions during the meet-up. Please email your questions to Sharon at [email protected] or Kiyomi [email protected]!
Kiyomi’s story: Desperate to help her husband survive stage III cancer, Kiyomi researched intensively for a better way of providing the medicinal healing properties of green tea. Her desire blossomed to that of sharing her discoveries with American folks by offering the purest and simplest form of “Ground Green Tea”. When asked “why Green Tea,” Kiyomi always answers, “Green Tea is the simplest and easiest addition anyone can make to his or her diet in order to improve health.” In the quiet rural countryside of Northeast Oregon, a story of passion and determination evolved into a thriving small business of SEI MEE TEA. Since 2004, Kiyomi has inspired many people through her green tea seminars, green tea cooking classes, and traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. Kiyomi is a native of Japan and became a U.S. citizen in 2010.
