This is a delicious Mexican twist on hummus! Makes a great dip for raw vegetables or baked tortilla chips, and a great spread for a sandwich or burrito.

Ingredients
- 3 cups black beans (or 2 cans, drained and rinsed)
- ½ medium red onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- juice from ½ lime
- ½ avocado
- 2-3 Tbs fresh chopped cilantro (to taste)
- ¼ cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika (Trader Joe’s)
- ½-1 cup water to adjust to desired thickness.
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender (like the Vitamix) or a food processor until desired consistency is reached.
